adding blog breaks permalinks

    I have a site using all pages, laservault.com

    we set a custom permalink structure as

    /%page_id%/%pagename%/

    now we are trying to add a blog, using a page ‘blog’ which we point to in settings/reading

    the blog items show up fine, but the permalinks on the blog postings are showing up with the literal ‘%page_id% in them rather than the post_id.

    we cant easily changing the permalink structure because we have dozens and dozens of previous/next handmade links in our menu items

    clicking on the bad links brings up the Bad request error

    is there some function within wordpress I can hack at in php to try to fix this? I’m thinking that when I get a link to resolve, and it has the literal %page_id% in it, i’ll replace that part with ” and strip off the following ‘/’

    Permalink structure cannot be changed on wordpress.COM hosted sites. It can be changed only on wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting.

    This is wordpress.COM support. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     What is the URL starting with http:// of the site in question? You can confirm where it is hosted here http://www.whoishostingthis.com/
