Adding blog post excerpts to an RSS reader on my home page
-
We want to have our five most current blog posts (in excerpt form) pull through an RSS reader on the home page of our website. The blog is WordPress, the website is in Joomla. We have an RSS Reader on the website already, and have tried simply changing the reader address to pull through our blog (http://forexample.wordpress.com/feed), but that didn’t work.
It doesn’t seem like this should be that hard to do, but we’re sure struggling with it!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Soory but we cannot help you with your website feed problem here. Every wordpress blog has an RSS feed for comments and for posts (entries).
This is the format for the URL for the feed for your blog’s posts (entries):
http://nameofblog.wordpress.com/feed/This is the format for the URL for the feed for your blog’s comments:
http://nameofblog.wordpress.com/comments/feed/I suggest removing that final slash (/) mark from the feed URL and see if that works. If it doesn’t then on your website you will have to write something in PHP or javascript to do that. Here are options:

http://www.webpronews.com/expertarticles/2006/10/09/rss-feeds-adding-a-feed-to-a-website-using-phpAll support for your website issues must come from http://wordpress.ORG/support/
Lastly, please remove the URL for that site you have linked to your wordpress.COM username and replace it with the link to your wordpress.COM blog.
Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Then we Volunteers won’t be wasting our time clicking into a site we don’t provide support for. Instead we will be able to instantly locate your wordpress.COM blog by clicking your username. :)
