Adding blog to existing website
-
Noob, here;-) I’m looking to add a blog to my new website because; a) it seems like it would be cool, and, b) because if done properly, it will bring me traffic and raise my SEO. I’ve read that WordPress is the best way to go, but I don’t know where to begin. There seems to be a lot of ground to cover here….
My questions are as follows:
1-Can I add a WordPress directly to (within) my website? If so, where do I begin???
2-If not, how will a blog here, improve the SEO on my site???Thanks for any advice!

You can install the software from wordpress.ORG on your web host and then have the blog as either a subdomain (blog.yourdomain.com) or as a subdirectory (yourdomain.com/blog/).
You need to be talking with the folks over at http://wordpress.ORG/support for that though as that is where the software you will be using is supported.
If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.
