-
Hello,
I am working on a website with the Sela Theme and front page setup like the demo.
I would like to add a button in the box on the front page. Is this possible?
Thank you!

Hi catycarrico,
Are you referring to the box behind the “SHARPER WRITING THAT DRIVES RESULTS” text? If so, a call to action button can be added with these steps:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/beginning-html/how-to-make-a-call-to-action-button/
It will appear as a text link until CSS is added in My Sites > Customise > CSS:
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to help.

Hi Gemma,
Yes, you are correct about the location where I am trying to add the call to action button. I added the CSS and copied the code but for some reason it is still showing up as a text link.
Would you mind helping? Thank you!

Hi catycarrico,
I added the CSS and copied the code but for some reason it is still showing up as a text link.
Some extra text above the CSS was interfering with the button styles. I’ve removed it for you and the “Sign up for my newsletter” link is now a button :)
#615f8b is the colour value for the purple background and can be replaced with any colour you like. Click “Publish” once you’ve added a different colour and that change will be applied to the button.
I’ll be here if you have any questions.
