Adding Buttons

Good Evening, Now Currently I am on the Shawburn Theme using the Classic WordPress Editor, this is a free WordPress plan and I was just wondering if there is any way of adding or creating buttons, now because I am on the free WordPress account I can’t use CSS or Install plugins – Just want to make my blog website more interesting, on my partners theme (Not Sure which one, but its an old one) her posts do contain a ‘read more’ button and an ‘older post’ button, this is something I’m after instead of the word Continue Reading, Thanks

This depends on the button. Buttons are created using HTML, not CSS (CSS can only change how a button looks), and you can add buttons into posts and pages on a free site, and using the classic editor, though it’s much simpler using the block editor instead.
But the buttons you’re speaking of are not added inside posts/pages, but are part of the theme instead.
The Shawburn theme doesn’t use an Older Posts button, but instead shows page numbers at the bottom of the posts list like you see on your site. This theme doesn’t support the Infinite Scroll feature that would be necessary to display a button like you see on your partner’s theme.
Likewise with the Read More, this is added via the More tag/block, which I see you’re already using, but some themes display it as a button while others display it as a link. Shawburn displays it as a link, not a button. It’s possible to add CSS styling to make that link look like a button instead, but that would require the Premium Plan.

Thanks for your reply, do you know of any themes which would be the best benefit to support the button like feature.

There are lots of themes so it’s hard to know what exactly (apart from the buttons) would you like on your site.
I’d suggest having a look at the themes page and search for one that you like in general:
