Adding call to action & button over featured image
-
Hi – I need guidance on how I go about adding a ‘call to action’ and button over my featured image. I am using the edin theme. I would like it to appear similarly to the demo site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Basic codes for the two options for the Edin theme: “button” (with background) and “button minimal” (w/o background), are provided in the Extras section of the Edin theme guide. Just insert the code into the text editor of any page with the Front Page Template assigned. You may customize the codes, change the text for example.

I have done so and the button appears, but it does not appear over the feature image. I want to add text and the button overlaying the feature image.
Please advise.
Thanks

What’s the URL of the page in which you inserted the button? Did you assign the Front Page Template to that page, in the Page Attributes module of the page editor?I want to add text and the button overlaying the feature image.
Have you set a Featured Image on the page, with the featured image module in the page editor? Text can be placed above, below, or to either side of the button in the page content.

I see your “Yes!” button (on the front page) now, which links nicely to your “Contact us” page. However, it doesn’t look like you assigned the correct page template (Front Page Template) to the static front page.
