Adding captions shrinks the image

If I insert an image, it’s fine. I can make it larger or smaller.

If I then add a caption, I can no longer do anything about the size of the image in the page. It freezes. That’s a nuisance but the REAL problem is that everything looks fine in preview, and even on first publication but within an hour or so, a random number of the images shrink to near invisibliity or all you see is a tiny generic ‘image’ token.

I’ve tried re-inserting the images from my media folder; I’ve tried uploading them all over again. I’ve tried everything I can think of but the picture keeps being treated as if it the picture should be reduced in proportion to the way the caption text is, in proportion to normal print. At least, I think that’s what it’s doing.

  • Good Morning –

I’d be glad to take a closer look at this with you and see what we can come up with to resolve that appearance. Looking at the front page I see several images with captions. Is that where the problem lies? Or is it somewhere else on the site that you can point me towards? Thank you.
