Adding categories in Flickr’s “Post to Blog” feature
-
This may belong in the Ideas section, since I’m not sure it’s even possible, but here goes: I use Flickr’s post to blog feature a lot, and there’s a nifty feature where you can customize the way the post is laid out. My question is this: is there any way (other than changing to default category on the WordPress side) to include category information in the flickr post?
For instance, I want all of my posts from flickr to be filed under the Photos and Flickr categories in my WP.com blog. Any ideas?

That’s a Flickr issue. IIFC, they use the Blogger API which doesn’t support categories at all. WordPress just puts it in the default category for you.

maybe it is an old question, sorry in advance..
but would it be possible to change the “DEFAULT” category from “uncategorized” to something else?i am travelling to china soon where WordPress is banned! and i wanted to post from there through the million of pics i will upload on flickr.. so it could be nice to change the default tag..
of is there a way to add in the code of the post a tag?
Thanks!!

Yup, you do that on your backend. Dashboard -> Options -> Writing I believe. Look for the default categories.
You can add in tags into a post like Technorati tags. Lorelle has a method that you can try. Not sure if that’s what you are exactly looking for but give it a read.
Hope this helps,
