adding 'category'

how to add category to my ‘recent posts’ in Opti theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you wanting to have the categories for each post show on the posts in Recent Posts? If so, that cannot be done with CSS. CSS is a styling document used by browsers to style and position the elements of a web page. It cannot be used to add something like the categories of posts to the post meta data displayed.
If I’ve misunderstood, please explain further.

thanks, you’re right. I posted in the wrong forum. But i suppose it should be easily done; adding category to my posts, but somehow I can’t find the right way…
thanks

No worries. This support page on Categories should get you going on creating and adding categories to your posts.

thanks again, but I am looking for how to make them appear in the posts (which they suddenly don’t in the Opti theme).
tnx

Categories show below the posts on the individual posts pages, such as this one. Opti does not show the categories on the front page of the site. That is not something that we can add with CSS, it would require editing of the theme php script files and we cannot do that at WordPress.com.
You can see that the categories do not show on the main page of the Opti Demo Site.
