adding child-page links to parent pages
-
hi, i’m trying to get a child page link to appear in it’s parent page, because i’m not satisfied with it appearing only in the sidebar widget. it’s possible, right? I used this code but it didn’t work. the entire line of code appeared on the page rather than just “One-shots.”
help please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

i can’t edit my topics??
anyway about the above, i thought the
tags would show the line of code i put in but obviously that didn't work...so i guess my code was correct but they don't show on pages??? -
Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here – or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.
There’s no reason why a link wouldn’t properly show in the page – if we see the page in question we can tell you if your code is correct or not.

tesnotes,
Is this your blog?
http://tesnotes.wordpress.com/writing/one-shots/
To make a link to a child page from “Writing” page, go to your dashboard, go to edit that page, highlight the text you want to make into a link (or type text you want to make into a line, for example type “one shots,” then highlight that), choose the icon in the line of icons above the editor section that looks like a chain. A pop-up rectangle will come up where you can type the information for your link:
Title of the box is “Insert/edit link”
Below that are some boxes or lines to fill in:
Link URL – This is the only one you must fill in, http://tesnotes.wordpress.com/writing/one-shots/
Target – You can fill this from the drop-down choices
Title – You can call this “one-shots”
Class – You can ignore this
Click on “Update”
Your link should work. -
