Adding "children pages" to physical "parent page" ?

    I want people to be able to click on “gallery” and see icon/links for the “children” pages I have set up under gallery. Those are “nature” and “portraits”. I don’t want it only in a drop down menu and I’ve seen a few themes do this but I have no idea how to do it.
    Please help. Otherwise this site is pointless to me…
