adding Classic editor plug in
-
I’ve been using the classic editor for a decade and can not get the hang of the new block editor. However when I go to plug-in’s and click on the classic editor the ‘install’ button will not hi light??? How do I get the Classic editor back full-time? Thanks

We have tips for transitioning from the classic editor to blocks https://wordpress.com/support/switching-from-the-classic-to-the-block-editor/ and FAQs: https://wordpress.com/support/replacing-the-older-wordpress-com-editor-with-the-wordpress-block-editor/#frequently-asked-questions
And, if you really want to use something like the classic editor, we recommend sticking with the classic block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
We also have some extensive documentation available at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/
If you have any feedback on the new editor, we’re always looking for ways to improve it, so please let us know!

Hi. I don’t know why you got this result, but using the Classic Editor on WordPress.com doesn’t require the plugin. See my answer below to your question about how access to the Classic Editor.

The Classic Editor is still available to all WordPress.com users, and it’s still free. Here’s the Classic Editor support page, and the How to Access the Classic Editor section of that support page.
