Adding comments box in scroll mode

I find a lot of people are leaving comments on my “About” page, rather than on individual posts. I am beginning to think that this is because people less familiar with the Internet may not intuitively click on a page title. They just scroll through posts and don’t see anyplace to leave a comment. Is there a way to either add a comment box in scroll mode, or change a blog to display only a single post at a time so the comment box is always visible?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unfortunately, unless you purchase the Custom Design upgrade ($30 a year), you cannot alter the theme in this way. Custom Design allows you to access your CSS files where you could at the very least make a change to remove the comment box from the About page.

It may seem tacky, but a solution could be to end each of your articles with a friendly set of directions for your readers: “As always, we’d love to hear your comments on this article. In order to leave a message for us, scroll back to the top of this article and click on ‘Leave a Reply.'”

Have you looked into other themes supported on WordPress.com? There may be a theme that behaves the way you intend.

Different themes have different ways of displaying the comment link. The only theme that displays comments on the main page of a blog is P2.

The front pages of our WordPress.COM blogs “showcase content” and comments are collapsed on that page. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display. You cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. We cannot edit the templates underlying our themes and CSS editing here can only be used to chnage appearance, not functionality. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only ie. you can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code.
