Adding comments seems very fiddly, can I change/improve?
-
I am writing a blog and we normally tend to get quite a few comments but none for the last blog post. I tried adding comments and it seems quite fiddly. I can add the comment fine but the part where you add name/email is hardly visible and isn’t user-friendly.
Is there anything I can to improve the comments section of our blog or this a theme issue?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there, you’re right — the comment form does look wrong when I’m logged out. I’ll report this to our developers and let you know what we find.

Hi and thanks for the comment. How long do you think it will take to get a response from the developers? How long do these things usually take and what about fixing these issues?
-
Ok, this appears to be specific to the theme you’re using, which was retired a few years ago, so it’s likely our developers won’t be addressing this any time soon.
I recommend trying a new theme, it’s safe to change, and we have many available: https://wordpress.com/themes

Thanks for letting me know. Just wondering how problematic changing a theme is and what I need to be aware of when doing so. Any hints or tips would be appreciated. :-)

Generally changing a theme is safe. The worst that could happen is that your widgets may be moved to the Inactive Widgets section, where you’ll simply need to drag them back to where they’re supposed to be, and you may need to re-assign a location for your menu.
So, usually it just takes a minute to change a theme, at most a few minutes. :)

I wanted to note as well, with some of the newer themes, changing a theme will result in your front page being replaced by a template you’ll need to edit to add your details.
In that case you’ll just want to edit the details and add a “blog posts” block, or switch back to showing blog posts on the front page.
Or, check one of these themes meant just for blogging.
