Adding content to Sidebar

  OK I’ve probably missed the answer to this but I am on the free version of WP (and new to it). I want to put content in the sidebar but i don’t have this option it seems. Either I have completely missed it or I need to purchase this function. Please guide me on this.

  You are using a theme ie. Twenty Eleven that’s primary feature is no sidebar display on single posts pages. Please click that link and read how your theme is designed to function. To choose a theme that displays a sidebar on every page in the blog please see here > http://wordpress.com/themes/
