Adding contributors to the side bar & posting

Can someone tell me how to add contributors’ names to the sidebar? I made a new page for them, but that doesn’t answer my question.
And how are contributors able to post a new message in the write section?

You can add as many names as you like to your sidebar two ways (1) putting them into a text widget (2) creating a category for Authors as a parent category and creating sub-categories (children) under each author’s name. Then as they write their posts they simply assign them to the correct sub-category.

Each person you add must register with wordpress, although they do not need to take a blog. What’s important is that the email address that they register with is the same one that they post from. -
The FAQ’s and forum do not answer my supplementary question which is: I’ve added three contributors, including myself under a different id, and contributions (posts) have been submitted for review but I can’t find them anywhere when logged in as administrator to review and publish them – where should they be?

In mange > posts, in the status pulldown, select draft or show all, and then click on “filter and then should show up. The manage posts display defaults to showing only published posts.

Oh! Thanks sacredpath. I found it but had to select ‘Pending Review’ under status and it wasn’t there before and has now disappeared again now they’re published.

Glad you found it, and you are welcome. Typically there are volunteers here in the forums pretty much 24 hours a day. Sometimes you may have to wait for a little till someone with the right answer checks in.
I was thinking there was a pending review but couldn’t remember for sure. The pulldown changes depending on what is in the manage posts (drafts, pending review, etc.).
