Adding copyright

how do i add the copyright information to my site?
i have a free account and i am new. also, i dont have plugin options. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You won’t have plugins, either. You have a WP.com blog and the only exist on WordPress.ORG blogs.
You put copyright info in a text widget in your sidebar or footer, or you type it in each post.

what is the information i need to add? and i don’t think i gave a text widget. i would like to add it to the footer but i don’t know how.
-
This is the Text Widget.
Your theme, Strange Little Town, has only one main sidebar widget area. So you can add text widget to the sidebar, not to the footer.
You can however use custom CSS to add a copyright line to the footer. Please let me know if you have Custom Design upgrade on your account so we can help you with CSS.

…i have the free version.Custom Design is not free.

Use this CSS with the content value replaced to whatever copyright text you wish.
Just in case you need, Editing CSS support document explains where to add this custom CSS.
div#site-generator:before { display: block; content: "Write your copy right text here. Some more copyright text."; margin-bottom:10px; color: #a33b88; } -

Oops. Sorry, you won’t be able to use this code then.
Your only option is to use text widget to add the copyright text.

Find a different theme that supports footer widget area, if you are okay to let go of your current theme.
