Adding copyright info to bottom of page

    Hello!

    I’m building out a website for a new product, and I’d like to add a disclaimer above the WordPress copyright and theme info at the bottom of the page. I’m using the Suburbia theme and all of the footers are square…
    Is there any way to add another long footer that will sit across the bottom of every page?

    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    This is what I add to the bottom of all my posts. You can make it simpler by leaving out the color, and that “normal” font style is so that the theme I use won’t make the “blockquote” appear in italics. Substitute a link for your blog, and add whatever else you want:

    <blockquote><div style="background-color:#F2F2F2; font-style: normal; text-align: center;">Copyright © 2013. <a href="http://sensuouscurmudgeon.wordpress.com/">The Sensuous Curmudgeon</a>. All rights reserved.</div></blockquote>

    CSS is theme specific, so what you have right now in your custom CSS for the footer stuff will not work on Suburbia. Give this a try and see what you think. It adds your own text to the end of the line.

    .footer p:after {
    content: " :: Disclaimer text here.";
    }

    There is another trick where you use positioning to position a text widget in the footer area for your text, but this can be a bit tricky and won’t work cleanly on all themes. It depends on the structure of the markup (XHTML).

    What you provided will work perfectly for me. Thanks so much!
