Adding CTA to Frontpage Featured Image

  Hi! I am using business identity theme and can’t figure out how to add a CTA button to the featured image on the homepage.

  There is helpful advise under #101243: “You can add a call to action button with html and then hide the one which brings you to your post through CSS.”

  What I need to know is how to hide the blog post I add to show up as ‘featured content’ on the home page (I don’t want to actually see it on the blog page, just on the front page featured image).

  Also need to know hot to add CTA button with html. My site is: http://www.bailey-law-firm.com. Thank you so much for your help!

  Hi –

  To add the CTA button:
  You can add the following code where you want the CTA button to appear. Just replace # in href with the link where you want to point the users.
  <a class="call-to-action" href="#">Purchase Business Identity</a>

  If you want this button to appear on your featured images on the Home page, then edit your homepage and add the code for the CTA button.

  Thank you for the fast response! Basically, I want my home page featured image to look like the Business Identity Theme webpage: https://wordpress.com/theme/business-identity. The image url is: https://theme.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/bi-layout-demo1.jpg?w=640&h=533

  There appears to be text overlay as well as a cta button; however I can’t see anywhere in the theme/front page (under customization) to create this. Am I totally overlooking something?

  I can’t figure out how to do it anywhere under customize/front page or anywhere else? I apologize if I am totally overlooking something.
