Adding custom DNS records
-
Hello,
I’m currently running a WP blog under mydomain.com. The domain name is configured with WP:s nameservers.
Is there a way I can add a subdomain (test.mydomain.com) and have it redirect to an external website using a “cloaked url”? So that test.mydomain.com remains in the browser window…
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

We cannot provide help of any kind until you post the URL for the blog in question starting with http:// On this forum we provide support only to those who have free hosted wordpress.COM blogs. Those who have blogs web hosted by any other host must post to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ for support for their software. The support documentation applicable to those who do have wordpress.COM free hosted blogs is found here. Map a subdomain (for a domain with an existing website) to your WordPress.com blog. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/

Thanks for your response. The blog is a WP.com blog at http://jonlord.org (hosted on WP:s nameservers).
Would it be possible to add a subdomain or cname (test.jonlord.org) that redirects you to another website, while retaining “test.jonlord.org” in the address field of the browser?
Thanks in advance.

After Staff reply would you be kind enough to return to this thread and post their response so we all know what the answer is the next time the question is asked?
