Adding custom HTML
-
I help with our neighborhood homeowner’s WordPress website. We received a few lines of ‘hosted button’ HTML from PayPal to insert for our members to pay their dues. When I put it in an HTML block it looks right in the ‘preview’ but when I ‘update’ the code is truncated and just prints a small table. Any help is appreciated.

Hi cathydinkeloo,
Do you have an example page where you see the issue? I had a quick look through the website you listed and was unable to see what you’re referring to.
If we can see the problem, I think it would be easier to help solve it :)
Cheers,

Hi there,
If you’re using code for a PayPal button that has any customizations, that won’t work, as the button relies on types of HTML code that we don’t allow on WordPress.com for security reasons.
We do support PayPal button embeds, but only for simple Buy Now or Donate buttons, not buttons with custom fields like drop-downs for different prices, etc.
