Adding date to archives list

I notice that you can add text after the Archives shortcode, but can’t figure out if you can get the Archives list to also show the dates each post was published. Is that possible? After four years of posts, it would be nice to have the dates to jog my and everyone else’s memory. Thanks!

Awesome. I would like to second this option. I have a front page, to which all my posts are displayed. Would love if this option is enabled or developed, or if you could guide us to the documentation (in case it is already developed. )

Note also that you can also display an Archives widget > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/
