adding DNS record
-
Help page says to open domain and there will be a menu – click on ‘Name Servers and DNS’. I do not see that menu so how do I add a DNS record. I’m trying verify my WP domain to GoDaddy to set up email.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I love the header image! Beautiful place!
Just to make sure I’m tracking with you…
You have a domain on GoDaddy (registered there). What is that domain name?
You want to host the website for that domain on wordpress.com.
You want emails for email accounts set up on that domain to go to GoDaddy.Am I getting that right?

Richard,
Thanks for the compliments and getting back to me. Sounds like you have it right. GoDaddy domain is campobellofarm.com. I have some DNS parameters from them that I need to enter into a new DNS record at WordPress. WordPress instructions on how to do that don’t seem to jive with reality…
Cheers, Erich

Hi Erich,
Great – thank you for clarifying. To host campobellofarm.com on wordpress.com, you’ll need to set up domain mapping as described here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ This “connects” the domain at GoDaddy to your site on wordpress.com. (As the document describes, you’ll have to upgrade from a free plan to one of the paid plans to do this; you have several choices – https://wordpress.com/pricing/)
Once you have mapped your domain, then you should be able to proceed with the steps for changing the email name servers to use GoDaddy (https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/add-godaddy-email/).
I hope this helps; please follow up if you need any additional help.
Richard
