Adding Domain

Hello, I have looked into this but I just want to clarify before I move forward :) I have a domain through GoDaddy that is not hosted by anyone. If I add it to my WordPress blog does that mean wordpress will be hosting it? I’m afraid to mess it all up! Is that the easiest way to do it- pay for the upgrade, add my domain name, and then it switches my site over to my new domain name, but everything stays the same on my blog page? Thank you!!

Correct. Hosting refers to where your site’s files are located. Your site, http://mammaflybox.wordpress.com/, is located on our servers, so it’s hosted by us. If you connect a custom domain to that site, it will still be hosted by us, regardless of where you bought the domain itself.

Correct again. Add the domain mapping upgrade, and point the domain to us by changing the name servers on GoDaddy’s end, and anyone who looks at your site will see the custom domain instead of the free WordPress.com address. But aside from that, nothing else will change.
