Adding domain. Automatically adding Custom Design fee.

  I am attempting to add a custom domain with mapping. Currently on your store you have it listed as $18.00 for the custom domain and mapping. I selected the buy now and then register a new domain. I entered the new domain and entered my personal information. The problem I’m having is it automatically adding the custom design fee of $30.00 and there is no option to remove. I have done this a number of times in the past without this issue. You clearly separate the two different services on your store page, so why is it automatically add the custom design fee at checkout. I’m not sure if this is a scam or just error I’m encountering. Again, it is very clear on the store page that these are two separate services. Thanks for your help

  Hey there!

  Could you confirm if the domain in question is ewenzel.com? I see that domain expired on September 11, 2014 (187 days ago).

  If so, I see the expired domain still connected to your account. I can disconnect it for you, so you’re able to re-register the domain for $18.

  Thanks for the quick follow up. No, I am no longer going to use ewenzel.com. I would like to buy a new domain and use the existing layout. I cancelled the domain a couple days ago, doesn’t look like it got processed yet though. How do I register the new domain for $18? I’m not interested in the custom design add on.

  Hiya!

  I’ve removed the expired domain from your site. Because it was expired, you couldn’t technically cancel it. But, I took care of it on our end. You can add a new domain here:

  https://erwenzel.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Simply click Register a New Domain Name, and follow the instructions to buy your new domain name.
