Adding downloadable files on a page
-
Greetings, I found the tutorial page below for adding downloadable files at the page below. Though the WordPress site I’ve been helping with doesn’t look the same as in the screenshots.
Was able to find the plus (+) icon, and then type in “file” but when I click on “File” below that, something appears on the left side, but it doesn’t do anything when I try to click on it.

Where I found the plus icon, the page is different.

After I clicked on the plus(+) icon, I typed in “file” in the search field.

Then I see this appear on the left side, but it just appears like that for a moment, and nothing happens if I click on that.

Thank you.

Hi there,
http://christophersway.org/ appears to use the WordPress software and is hosted with another company than WordPress.com. In general, in order to get help with your website, we do suggest contacting either your host’s own customer support, or alternatively the community forums of WordPress.org:
To clarify, there are two ways to use WordPress, you can either use the WordPress software downloaded from WordPress.org onto a web host (also known as self-hosted), or you may host your site with us here at WordPress.com. For reference, you can learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:
https://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/That said, your first screenshot clearly indicates that your page is built using the plugin Elementor – because of that, it might be worth using Elementor to add the downloadable file to your page as in my previous experience, Elementor tends to override anything you do in the default WordPress editor. I searched the internet and found this guide which may be useful for this:

Hi, alright… thank you. Though where did you get
http://christophersway.orgfrom? I never mentioned that website at all.Aye StudytheCalendar.com has been built with the Elementor plugin.
Thank you, Shalom.

Oops, they might have had that other site in the clipboard and not realized it. Your site is self-hosted, though; same advice applies. Cheers!
