Adding E-mail Addresses to Blog via DNS Editing

Has anyone had any success with the new DNS Editing feature in WordPress.com? I’d like to add several e-mail addresses to my blog that would route to my e-mail provider, gmail, and have not seen much documentation or tutorial.

I currently have the e-mail address: (email visible only to moderators and staff) and would instead like to have the following e-mail address:

(email visible only to moderators and staff)

What code would I need to enter into the DNS Editor in order to make this active. I thought I understood the purpose of this DNS Editing feature at first, but it seems like what it really is providing is a FORWARDING service to your actual e-mail provider. When the user responds, would they receive an e-mail from “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” OR “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” which is hosted on gmail?

    Any help appreciated!!

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
