Adding eCommerce – WooCommerce to Exisiting WordPress Site

    Hello! We have an existing WordPress site for our small hops farm – sauvieislandhopfarm.wordpress.com. We currently pay for GoDaddy for the domain sauvieislandhops.com which we have linked to our WordPress site. We would like to begin selling merchandise from our site. A friend suggested I look into the wooCommerce plugin, but I got stalled in the migration process. Do I need to upgrade my existing free WordPress account? Do Happiness Engineers provide this service? Or am I better off switching to another service for our website, online store? Thanks so much. I look forward to your response!

    Custom plugins like the WooCommerce plugin are only available for self hosted WordPress.org sites. The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org are explained here:

    On WordPress.com, you sell individual items on your site using your PayPal account and a button directing your readers to the PayPal payment screen:

    Or am I better off switching to another service for our website, online store?

    We would love you to stay on WordPress.com, but if you are looking for eCommerce to be a big part of your site, then a self hosted WordPress.org site is the way forward. If you haven’t already seen it, check out the WooCommerce website:
