Adding email subscribers

  I’d tried repeatedly to add a friend’s email address to my list of email subscribers, but the WordPress mechanism doesn’t seem to be able to do it. I get an email message myself that says ‘We have finished importing 0 out of 1 subscribers.’ What am I doing wrong?

  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there,

  Could you tell us a bit about the process you’re following? Let us also know the email address of the person you’re trying to add (only staff members will be able to see it), and we’ll take a look.

  I’ve gone to Users, then Email Subscribers, then typed the address into the Add Subscribers box, then entered. But the process has never worked. The address is (email visible only to moderators and staff) . Other people have been able to sign up without any problem.

  Thanks for that!

  It looks like they blocked all emails from WordPress.com under their user account. They would need to go into their account page here and uncheck the “Block Emails” option here:

  https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions

  Then they would be able to receive the email to sign up. This isn’t something we can do for them, so they’ll need to log into their account and uncheck that.
