thansk for the response. not really, i might have to resort to zohomail, but ideally i woudl liek help with what the mx records etc for redstation would be. they wont/can’t tell me.
-
MX records needs to be requested at your e-mail provider, Redstation in this case. Once you have the MX records I can set these to your domain.
Thank you.

thanks, but redstation won’t/can’t give me the custom email dns
its ridiculous but i am stuck. -
actually i may have got the dns settings now. can you confirm if i need to add TXT, webmail and CNAME or will just MX work?
thanks -
Howdy,
The MX record may be all that you need; what information did they provide and I’d be happy to confirm.

Thanks
Just
mx10 mail.teega.co.uk
So I added it a few hours ago, plus I copied the example of TXT and cname buy couldn’t get webmail or mx20 to add -
Hi,
In that case, we do need a bit more information from your mail provider, specifically either a CNAME or A record we can use with mail.teega.co.uk.
A short primer: With domain names, whatever server is nameserver controls all subdomains, or in other words, since ns1/ns2/ns3.wordpress.com are the nameservers for teega.co.uk, then we, on the WordPress servers, need to define what any subdomains (like mail.teega.co.uk) mean and where they point to.
With just the MX record, we’re telling mail to go to mail.teega.co.uk, but haven’t defined what/where exactly is mail.teega.co.uk.
The mail provider will likely provide a A record (or an IP address) that we can add in the format of
A mail 123.168.123.168 to the custom DNS.Thanks!

hi
thanks i think i understand what you are saying.
it is this 80.243.183.2
cname is just listed as teega.co.uk.thanks in advance for your help.

I’ve added the A record for mail to that IP address. If that’s the right address, e-mail should begin to work shortly.
Cheers!
