Adding events without a plugin section

  Hi there, I’m trying to add an event into my website, i understand this is through a plug in?? I cannot find where to add a plug in? I saw some blogs saying Plug in should be under settings, but I don’t see it. Not sure if I have to install something additional to see the option to add a plug in? could you please help me.

  Hi! Hope you are having a great evening. Plug-ins are a feature of wordpress.org. But you can still add events on your wordpress.com site using the calendar widget. Here are some instructions on how to do so via Google Calendars. https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/upcoming-events/
