Adding existing posts to menus
-
Hi guys,
I have a query I need help with, I hope I explain this right. I may have gone about setting up my blog incorrectly, but I have a load of posts which I have already published. Now I have set up a menu at the top of my page, and I want to align the existing posts to one of the menu entries, namely ‘blog’ (this is an attempt to lauch a website from the blog). I have tried as many of the options on the dashboard as I can, and no luck.
What I want to do is have all of the existing posts on the blog appear in the ‘blog’ menu option. Do I need to edit the menu, the pages, or the posts? I’m stuck.
Please feel free to have a look at my blog, I am using Pilcrow.
Thank you so much, Gideon

There is only one dynamic page in a blog and we cannot post to more that one page. What’s critical is to understand when creating a website structure the following:
1. The differences between pages and posts and the impact of choosing to restruture a blog to become page based.

2. We organize our posts by use of categories and how to set up custom menus. Although we cannot post to more than one page in a blog we can create the appearance that we have done that by setting up a custom menu and displaying Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation menu. That feature is available for some themes but not for all themes.

You could make an archives page with the archives shortcode, then link to it from your custom menu.
