Adding Facebook Like Button

  Hi everyone,
  I have been trying to include a Facebook like button/box on my home page for the past month and for some reason it will not show. I tried copying both the Iframe and the XBMFL to a text widget and it will not show up. The only message that I get once reach the home page is a long link. Can anyone please help me. Thanks
