Adding Facebook Share Button to Blog Post?
-
Where do I post the html codes? Do I have to put it at the end of every post.
You copy and paste the HTML code into the HTML editor before you publish the post. Yes, this has to be done on every post as we cannot edit the templates underlying our themes at wordpress.com and have the bookmarks appear automatically. Here we are all working in a shared environment on a multiuser blogging platform. All of those using the same theme are, in essence, using the same underlying template so we cannot access and edit that template.
I also have an html come for the text font and color. I am currently adding it to the beginning and end of each post. Where can I post it one time for the entire blog?
There are 2 ways to fonts at wordpress.com throughout the whole blog.
1. You can use Typekit fonts here > Appearance TypekIt Fonts
2. You can purchase an annually renewable CSS upgrade and do the editing yourself.More coming …

If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.
Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.
If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.

Having 1,000 views per day is enough reason for a WordPress.com blogger to click the “New Post” button. Everyone likes making their post seen by as many people as possible. So, tapping on Social Media is one easy way to boost traffic, swift dissemination, better rankings and extended reach from viewers.Share on Facebook button is one sure way to do it.

There’s now a Facebook “like” button for wordpress.com blogs. It’s available from http://getsociallive.com

Well, that does not appear to be hosted on a WordPress.com site, and so neither TT nor anyone else here will be able to help you with that. WP.com sites can’t host flash.

AddThis manually adds any new social network to their buttons. Their buttons is what I use. http://www.addthis.com/

@timethief, that was very easy to do via the pearlilabs link. Thanks! A simple html addition people.

@t3ck,
You know, the tutorial was written the way it was because I cannot upload bookmarklets here in wordpress.com bcos it’s javascript.
I have taken your suggestion and updated the post. I have posted the bookmarklet in Blogger (although I hated to offer wordpress.com goodies elsewhere) and that makes the tutorial much easier.@pornstarbabylon,
The way you are using addthis share in your wordpress.com blog simply won’t work in all situations. Sorry. Please read this post to know why.
How to use the Addthis button PROPERLY in the side bar of a wordpress.com blog
Although it was written keeping the side bar in mind, the explanation is valid for addthis button in individual blog posts. If you want something like Addthis (ie: a compact button) try this method instead to be able to post the button without leaving your blog post admin!
Addtoany offers an easy bookmarklet that creates social bookmarking and email post options for wordpress.com blog posts in just one click!
