adding feature to Rowling Template
-
Good Morning!
I am testing the various templates before signing to a paid subscription; currently the template I like the most right now
is Rowling. I like it for it’s search bar, grid style front page and the jump to top of page icon. There is one feature I would like to add, which is a featured post or slider option (based on tags or posts); the current gallery style in Rowling will not allow me to include a link to that post.
Will a paid subscription allow me to add this kind of feature to my design? If there is another template design that I’ve overlooked, please feel free to recommend.
Thank you in advance for your feedback!

hi,
“Will a paid subscription allow me to add this kind of feature to my design?”
The short answer is No.Longer answer is If you know how to customize a theme (ie add feature to your design), and am willing to sign up for the Business Plan to upload a customized Theme, then Yes. But this is really more trouble than it is worth.
You might as well choose a theme that comes with what you like and not bother to customize it by adding features.Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi – Just wanted to share a list of our themes that have post sliders. These are the free options: https://wordpress.com/themes/free/filter/post-slider
Take a look, there are some that also have a visual-grid feel to them.
