Adding Follow Button to Footer

  is there a way to get a follow button on the footer page of my blog using the Geme Theme? Most of my visitors are visiting on their cell, and there isn’t a side bar on the cell phone. I wanted to be able to have them follow from my their cell. Also, I’d love some extra advertising space on the footer as well. … There are no widget options for the footer, but hoping it’s possible another way. http://www.laurenmatthias.com

  Hi Lauren,

  Your theme only has one widget area and it looks like it only appears on single posts and pages so it won’t be possible directly.

  The best thing I can suggest is to create a “Follow” page and add this page to the custom menu that appears in the footer. Then on that page you can write a brief description of how great following your blog would be and use the blog subscription shortcode to insert a form for them to sign up.
