Adding Followers to My Blog
-
I’ve added about 150 followers to my new blog. There are about 250 more I’d like to add, but now I am getting the message, ‘You do not have the proper permissions to perform this action’.
Can you help?

Be aware that here at wordpress.COM we cannot add followers. Our followers subscribe themselves and they specify how often they receive published posts from blogs they subscribe to. We cannot subscribe for them or dictate the frequency of receipt of our posts.

Thank you. I am not adding them directly, but by means of the “People-Add” menu item, I am inviting users to be followers. The form allows me to add up to 10 invitations at a time, and that was working nicely up to the number of outstanding invitations around 150. Now I get the error message when I try to invite more…

That’s probably because there are so many. When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Hi there,
Due to spammers taking advantage of people add feature, there is a number limit on how many pending invites you can have. You should be able to add more invites as more of your pending invites are confirmed by your followers.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
