Adding forums to your blog

  Hey everybody, just a quick question:

  I know you can create forums on hosts like envisionboard (or something like that) and other places, but I recall reading various comments about WordPress adding a forum feature some time in the near future.

  Does anyone know if this is a rumor or if this is a serious possibility? Thanks in advance to those who reply :D
