adding galleries

    The theme I selected shows a ton of galleries; that’s why I chose it. This is actually the second theme I loaded because it shows galleries. However, on my dashboard, there are no links for galleries. I have watched several videos on how to create a gallery and tried to do it through pages and posts and none of the ‘buttons’ match what the videos show. I have my setting marked to put them in a gallery, but yet there seems no way to do so. What am I missing here. anyone, any ideas??????
