Adding google Adsense

    I am on a free plan.
    wordpress.com
    Theme is twenty fifteen – Blog site.

    I tried adding the advertising code created by my google adsense account into a text widget, but it did nor work.

    I am looking for a pluging for this theme so I can put the advertising code into it.

    Can you use google adsense with free plan and theme twenty fifteen?

    Do you need to upgrade your plan to put your own advertising on your site? wordpress.com

    Its not clear and not much information about hows and whys with wordpress.com and am i better off with wordpress.org?

    obviously I don’t want wordpress to get all the money for advertising on my site and not allowing me too.

    Please help, desperate!

    We are not allowed to add advertising to WordPress.com. There is NO upgrade that will allow you to do that and trying to add advertising can get your site suspended: http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

    The only exception is, if you have your own domain, you can apply for the WordAds program. You can read more about that here: http://wordads.co/faq/
