Adding google analytics and other features

    Hi,

I recently purchased an independent domain for my wordpress.com blog. I find this platform very useful and convenient as I don’t really have technical background, but I would like to add certain features to my blog – such as Google analytics tracking code, javascript widgets etc.
Is that still impossible even though I paid for my own domain?

    Thanks in advance,
    Inbal

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot do that on a WordPress.com blog. Buying a custom domain gets you only that: a custom domain name.

It’s not a lost cause, though, because you CAN do it on an independently-hosted WordPress.ORG blog. And for that, you’ll need the domain name anyway, so hold on to it. Just get yourself set up with a paid host and then follow the instructions in the Support docs to move your domain to point to your new blog.
