Adding Google Analytics tracking code

  Hi, I have tried downloading wordpress to my computer but cant work it out so am stuck with wordpress.com :(
  I really want to use Google Analytics but cant find where to past the code in.
  please help, thank you in advance.

  Actually, you reportedly CAN run Google Analytics on a WP.com blog now. Someone found a workaround:
