adding Google direct connect code to
-
To link your site to Google+’s new Direct Connect feature, you have to add some code to the <head> of the site code. Can I do this if I just have a wordpress.com account? If so, how can I get to that part of my site’s code?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry to report that you have accidentally posted to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with that site linked to your username is not being hosted by WordPress.com and as we run on different software. I’m not sure why you think expectthisnext.wordpress.com is a wordpress.org blog. I did read the com v org article, though, and it’s clear that I won’t be able to do what I want to on my blog (no access to underlying code). Thanks for the links

Hi there,
We Volunteers cannot see any link you may have supplied in the form. This is why I said “that site linked to your username is not being hosted by WordPress.com”. Thanks for providing the link. Your answer is that we cannot access the files and edit themes or templates on free hosted WordPress.com blogs as we are on a multiuser blogging platform. Only Staff can edit and every edit they make affects every blog wearing the same theme. In short, this is a no can do on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. -
However the site linked to your name is not a WordPress.COM account – that is what @TT was addressing. If you want an accurate answer the first time you need to have a link to the blog and in some cases the Post or Page in the blog the question is about, expecting unpaid volunteers to search for your site is not realistic.
