adding graphic to a text widget
-
i am having a problem adding an image (graphic) to a text plug-in. I have read the tutorials.. but seem to be missing something.
I am typing in the same code that I use for a sidebar graphic on my Blogger blog
<img border=”0″ src=”http://www.foreclosureprofitsnow.com/images/foreclosure_profits_150.jpg”/>
after typing that in to the WordPress plug-in for text and pressing save — I watch the plug-in change the HTML to this..
and of course — that will not show the graphic.
any help would be most appreciated.

The reason it is being stripped out is because pay-per-click and other types of advertising are not allowed here. It is being stripped out on purpose. Advertising on the blogs here at wordpress.com will get your blog quickly deleted.

Is there a way to put in advertising with a grid focus theme? for example http://eugenecho.wordpress.com/ – How is this done? He is using a free template becuase of .wordpress.com..Thank you for all your help. I am refering not to ad sense etc. but actual ads.

@chadkello: That’s a VIP blog – “free template” alright, but not free blog. In free wp.com blogs ads violate the terms of service.
And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting). We usually need that to give a relevant answer.
