Adding header to "category" or adding posts to a "page" ?

    I cannot figure out how to do either…
    My website is for photography and I have a “gallery” page. But I cannot seem to post a photo so they show up under that page?
    I figured out categories, and I have a “blog” category. But I would prefer a “page” so that there is a header…
    My “featured pages” on my front page are About, Contact, and Gallery. So they are all pages and are allowed a header when you click on the link. But in my header bar I also have a “blog” … the blog page does not have a header when clicked on and I cannot change it… OCD I guess?

    So either
    a) I would like to change my header on my blog category and figure out how to post to my ‘gallery page’ or
    b) change my gallery ‘page’ to a category but still keep it as a featured page with a photo?
    Are either of these possible?
    I am so confused.

    I am only using the online version… Maybe the download has other options? Not sure..
