Adding Header to Vigilance Theme

  I am trying to change out the current header with one that was designed for me. I tried to get it down to a reasonable size, but it continues to be too tall for the allowed space. I continue to downsize but it is still too tall and then becomes too grainy. I am new at CSS, can navigate around a bit, but am totally LOST. Thanks!

  What size is the image that you have (pixel dimensions).

  width-994 height-400, and the theme is Twenty Eleven.

  Also, if this is the site, http://wickershamweims.wordpress.com/ , then go to settings > reading and set your site to only display 3 or 4 posts per page. I gave up on letting it load.

  Can you upload the image to your media library and then give us the URL of that image?
