Adding HTML Form to WordPress.com Page
-
Hi there,
I see that you are not able to alter the included ‘contact’ form on WP.com and I wondered if there was a workaround to offer this or something similar? I would like to add a page or form (or anything like this) for readers to register their details for a competition we are about to launch. I would also love the ability to have them upload image attachments. Everything will be forwarded to an email address that I have set up.
I checked out Zoho.com and they look like the people to use – unless you have other suggestions.
I would prefer that our readers were able to register on our WP.com site but if not we will have to add a link to get them to do so through an external host.
If you have any suggestions please help!

I’m sorry but we cannot install any forms other than the contact form, which has recently been updated with new features on wordpress.com blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
If that’s what you need then perhaps hiring a web host and using wordpress.ORG software may suit your needs better > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Forms are not allowed here at wordpress.COM since the present a security risk.
You could use the contact form and then include a list of the information you need above the form.
Alternately you could use a service such as aweber.com. I’m unfamiliar with zoho.com.

Our ability to add HTML to our blogs applies only to posts, pages and text widgets and there are codes that the software will strip out to preserve security on this multiuser blogging platform.

You can officially add additional users to a wordpress com blog but if you add them as contributes they cannot upload images.

I am mutitasking from my own very small business and composing a new blog post too. As I have to be online anyway that means I can answer questions. :)BTW I have looked at the threads you have posted to here by clicking “member” under your username and I sincerely think you ought to consider getting a wordpress.ORG install.
