adding html to blog
-
My blog is relatively new, I am out looking for places to ‘register’ it, one blog listing site (topblogsites.com) has asked me to copy some html and place it in my blog.
I am not sure what that means. Is that to put in a post? or a page? and would that not show up and look unsightly.My blog is http://www.wakefielddoctrine.com Appreciate any direction on this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sure they gave you a more precise description than that.Normally these things go in text widget in your sidebar. Note however, that some of this HTML code may contain scripts, something that is not allowed (and will not work) on wordpress.com.
Without the exact code in question it is impossible to give you an exact answer.

I need help too! I wanted (if possible) to add the HTML code that Yahoo gave my for my group to my wordpress.com blog (www.hsloft.wordpress.com)
I am clueless to where it goes and how.
Thank you.

Husdal, following is the html in question.
<img style=”border:none” src=”http://www.blogtopsites.com/v_23940.gif” alt=”Humor Blogs” />
doylerl is actually phrasing my question (better than I did). I think I understand your answer as putting whatever html (that the search/list site needs to find me back) in the widget. I guess my question is more about how it will look to the (theoretical) visitor to my blog. Will this code be ‘behind the scenes’?
Thanks for the direction, sometimes the question is harder to come up with than the answer.

No it will not be behind the scenes. It will be this little image you see when clicking this link: http://www.blogtopsites.com/v_23940.gif
That little thing will be added to your sidebar where you place the text widget with the code. -
Stephanie, did you read my answer? I said to put the code in a text widget. And again, without the code I am unable to give you any further advice.

My blog at http://www.lovelywarren.com is stuck in HTML view. I don’t see the tab to go back to the design view. What can I do?

Hi, I have the same question, but I’ll try to formulate in other form: I would like to increase visiting on my blog, so I am trying to suggestregister my blog on different blog directories, and most of them are asking me for reciprocal link (like this: <img src=”http://www.bestblogs.org/blog_directory_BG.png” border=”0″ alt=”Blog Directory”> ), and I don’t know how to add this code on my blog such as it would be displayed on my blog homepage. Please help me. This is my blog:
