Adding HTML to post

    I am trying to embed HTML code into my blog post. I added the code from the HTML view. After publishing the post, the HTML text appears rather then the banner ad that I am trying to display. I did try to add the CSS tags that your Help recommends, with the same results. I even tried to upgrade to the most current version 3.2.1 without success. What am I missing here? Thanks!

    a) If you are talking about a wordpress.com blog, you cannot add ads. Any advertising code is stripped automatically. You can find that in the ToS and in the page about advertising.
    b) If you are able to try to upgrade to v. 3.2.1, you are running on WordPress.org software, not wordpress.com — I can’t even begin to imagine how one would attempt to do that for a wp.com blog, since we have no ftp access. If you have a wordpress.ORG blog, then you need to go to the WordPress.org support forum.
    c) If you are running a wordpress.com blog but really need to run ads, then you need to move to wordpress.org, a self-hosted solution, where you can do as you like with advertising.
