Adding hyperlink to a text widget
-
I’m wanting to add details of my second blog to a sidebar widget on my primary blog……but cannot see how to do this. Currently I’m using Mistylook theme, and can easily add a link to anything in the main body of the post, but what is the trick to put a link in a text widget. I just want a permanent note about the new blog, so folk can find it easily, is there a better way to do it? Thanks for any suggestions. Sue
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you don’t know how to write the HTML for a clickable link, you have a couple of options: Write what you want in a draft post in the Visual Editor and create the link there, then switch to the HTML Editor and copy/paste that into a Text Widget
or
Add it to your blogroll/links giving it a special category and use the Links Widget with only that category showing.

As for creating the link directly in a text widget, see here:

Thank you so much for this information.
I know nothing about writing HTML, but used the advice on panaghiotisadam’s comment above, and have done it perfectly! Also bookmarked the page of tips in case I need to do something else later.
The forum is a great place to get specific advice! Thanks again. Sue

Here is some more: don’t leave link signatures like that in the forum. Choose ONE site and link your name to it by putting it under Website on your profile page. Link signatures are appropriate in social forums but they are considered spammy in technical forums.
